The Latest Oculus Rift Porn Title Announced

Veiviev – The First Big Oculus Rift Porn Game?

There has been a lot of hype out there concerning Oculus Rift porn – that is, sexy, interactive entertainment in a virtual reality setting – but so far, there has been a lack of titles announced that seemed capable of blowing your mind.

All that has changed with the release of the teaser for Veiviev, which looks to be a sexy little demo piece built with Infinite Realities, the character mapping software that many Oculus Rift designers are using to create virtual environments and "human" characters. Nothing is for sure yet, but it appears that Veiviev may be the first big Oculus Rift porn game. Head over and check out the trailer for yourself on Vimeo, or just click play below. It is soft core, for sure, but it is pretty awesome – and definitely gives a glimpse of what is going to be possible in the brave new world of Oculus Rift porn.

The web site for Veiviev is pretty scarce, and doesn't specifically mention Oculus Rift porn, but the information on the site says, "We are at the cutting edge of digital and analogue human replication. Our goal is to create more enjoyable and pleasurable artificial liaisons."

It is not entirely clear what they mean by that – are they planning to create Oculus Rift porn, or characters for virtual reality shows or games? One thing seems sure – they are definitely making "adult" entertainment, and they definitely have plans for virtual reality.

The video raises more questions than it answers: What are the company's plans? Who are they – and what else have they developed, if anything? Will there be another teaser trailer released soon? Do they plan to support peripherals like Tenga's planned Oculus Rift-linked Fleshlight (and will that peripheral even make it to the notoriously puritanical American marketplace?) What else are they developing? And do they plan to release a demo for the Oculus Rift?

It is also worth mentioning that all of the models in this teaser trailer seem to be flash-frozen in time – meaning they are static models, and not animated. We know that animation is where the Uncanny Valley starts to kick in (that's the phenomenon that makes human beings increasingly uncomfortable with objects that resemble us as they become more realistic.) So while the models looks great, what is this company capable of when it comes to animation?

We have contacted the Veiviev Corporation and have yet to receive a reply, but we will definitely let you know when we hear from them. Veiviev, we are looking at you. The teaser trailer is pretty tantalizing. We have questions and we need to start getting some answers!
